The Mavens of Mindset project under the Erasmus+ KA2 framework (Project Number: 2024-1-HU01-KA210-YOU-000256881) brings together three small organizations (The World is Better with You Foundation, Weople – Tabela Espontanea Unipessoal Lda, Asociación para el desarollo del Plan Comunitario de Carabanchel Alto) from three European countries (Hungary, Portugal and Spain) and their experts to share their expertise and innovative tools of non formal education, youth support and mental health.

The partnership commits to create a new game; a pack of cards that youth workers and educators can apply in their daily work. The game will introduce and train positive thinking and the growth mindset of 13+ years old young people, also including those with fewer opportunities.

From December 2024, to May 2026 staff and involved professionals from the partnership creatively collaborate and meet for the Mavens of Mindset ideation & connections events and conduct Creative, and Play Days in Madrid, resulting in the creation and sharing of the Mavens of Mindset Tools, aiming for high quality youth involvement.

Through open events and piloting activities, we seek for meaningful involvement of youth workers and young people to create the cards and rules together, and to produce a fun, innovative game with multiple options for gameplay.

The partnership would like to address the challenges of the current youth generation, such as social isolation, the difficulties to build deep and long-lasting strong relationships, the harmful impact of the social media on self-esteem and the complexity of decision making, thus finding one’s authentic self.
According to research findings and meta-analyses, building stronger and supportive, offline communities is key for the mental health of young people. Mavens of Mindset will facilitate authentic self expression, the introduction of well-being practices, and playful social experiences.

We also develop an accompanying online booklet, which gives many more ideas for playing with the cards, and also for introducing topics of social-emotional learning and for reflecting on the experience. Throughout the whole project young people will play an expert by experience role for advising the creative work.

We address the EU Youth Strategy, the European Youth Goals, the Erasmus+ Inclusion and Diversity Strategy, and the UNESCO’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, by focusing on:

• the HORIZONTAL priority: Inclusion and diversity in all fields of education, training, youth and sport
• the YOUTH field priority: Promoting active citizenship, young people’s sense of initiative and youth entrepreneurship including social entrepreneurship
• the chosen, main TOPIC: supporting better physical and mental health, well-being of young people.
